*Luxury Cars Linked to Cambodian Scam Centre Auctioned in Taiwan*
Taiwan recently auctioned off 32 luxury cars worth over NT$850 million (approximately £23 million) linked to the Cambodian scam centre, Prince Group. The cars, seized by the Taipei District Prosecutors Office in 2025, include rare models such as a Bugatti Chiron, McLaren Senna LM, and Ferrari Monza SP2 .
The auction, held at the Taiwan Police Academy, aimed to raise awareness about anti-fraud efforts. The Prince Group, based in Cambodia, was indicted by the US Department of Justice in October 2025 for orchestrating transnational investment fraud schemes and money laundering.
The seized assets also include 11 apartments in Taipei's exclusive Peace Palace residential complex and over NT$4.5 billion in illegal assets. The group'chief, Chen Zhi, was arrested in Phnom Penh and extradited to China .
